November 16

I think it's about time for Plastic_chevy to update The Steward's Tale. Just sayin'. :)

It is that time of year, isn't it?

You've read Aeneid's missing scene, haven't you? I actually read this before I read Chevy's story. It's very lovely too.

I am in love with the idea of her writing the "missing scene." Fanfic about fanfic. I've been tempted to write my own ending for a story called "Fate Spares Him for Some Other End" written several years ago by Adalanta. When she abandoned the story, Faramir had been badly wounded while the brothers Mir were travelling alone in the wilderness. They were in desperate straits, and I always wondered if she gave up on the story because she couldn't figure out how to write her way out, lol.

I'd not heard of that! Is she still active in the fandom? You could ask permission to continue her story. (I have permission from [livejournal.com profile] celandineb to continue her story about Very Young Faramir being sent to Rohan to negotiate his brother's marriage to Eowyn, but, well, you know.) That sounds like an excellent story for you to continue.

I have a story like that! "The Story With Two Middles". I can get them out but can't decide which horrible experience I'm trying to get them out of.

A couple years back, I e-mailed her to beg her to finish the story ask her if she was going to finish it, but I never heard back. Though she might respond to an offer of help. Finishing her story would be proper atonement for all my own unfinished stories... :)

Now I want to read the "Story with Two Middles."

I should just go ahead and post it as a "Choose Your Boromir's Own Adventure" story, shouldn't I?
