Facebook

Most of my local friends are on Facebook, so I finally set up an account. I like to keep a low profile on the Internet (as much as that is possible), so most of my personal information is blank and I am using a pseudonym (though one that friends will recognize). I keep looking for LJ features that aren't there (like the ability to revise posts), and I was surprised at the lackluster writing until I remembered that most of my LJ friends are writers and most of my real life friends aren't. *grin* I am spoiled by you people over here.

blogging is for old people. ;)
Damn, and I thought I was so techno-savvy because I blogged. *grin* I still haven't figured out the appeal of texting. It is like being on the phone (which I don't particularly like) except slower.
I do plan to inflict cat pictures on my friends list over there.

I can't see the appeal of texting or twittering - possibly because I tend to articulate in long, convoluted sentences rather than short snappy bursts.

I use Facebook mainly to put up photos of my dogs - I do not post photos of myself there, or my address. It's also a good vehicle for finding old acquaintances and also keeping up with many people on a somewhat superficial level.
