just_ann_now forwarded the news that the remains of an 18th-century ship have been found at the World Trade Center site. Archaologists suspect that the hull was deliberately sunk as landfill. A reader suggested that they clean it up and rent it out for $1,975 a month. Lol...

I bet all archeology departments from the East Coast are already fighting each other with tooth and claw about access to the excavation site.

I got the impression that this is a rescue excavation and construction was not going to be long delayed for the archaeologists' work. Which is a shame. They should get their priorieties straight.
