Oh God, no; I suffered enough reading one volume of Proust's mega-series, en francais, and then happily forgot every single word of it. HATED IT!
The only use I ever had for Proust after having to read his work came in watching a Monty Python episode, with the 'Summarize Proust In A Bathing Suit' beauty contest, which made me laugh.
