The leaves of the clematis on the lamp post are turning black. Probably a fungal disease. Strange since it has been dry the last few weeks. That plant has been there for twenty years without any problems.
A young red-tailed hawk has been hanging around our yard. We first spotted him yesterday, and he was perched on the back fence this morning. Not in the least bit frightened of us. I am tempted to put raw meat out for him, but he needs to learn to feed himself. A photo of our handsome visitor.
